Takumi Minamino, Japan's top goal scorer for Monaco this season, has notched up another impressive tally in the French league.

The Japanese midfielder has been instrumental in helping his side to secure promotion from Serie A and is now looking set to cement himself as one of the best defenders in Europe.

Minamino's impressive performance comes after he made a strong start to the campaign with 7 goals in just five games before scoring another brace against Bordeaux on Sunday.

The striker also added two more goals to his tally in a 4-1 win over Lille last weekend, while he scored twice in a 5-1 win over Toulouse.

Despite the fact that he has been struggling to find consistency in recent weeks,Bundesliga Tracking Minamino remains confident that he can continue to perform at a high level.

He told Sky Sports: "I'm still working hard to improve my game and I've got some good things lined up for me."

The 26-year-old also spoke about how his team-mates have been supportive throughout his career, adding: "It's great having such a good group of players around me."

Minamino's success has come despite facing some tough challenges in recent months, but he remains determined to continue making an impact in the league.
