RB Leipzig has released the latest injury update for Amadou Haidara, who is set to undergo surgery in his home country of Senegal. The Senegalese forward suffered an ankle ligament injury during training last week and will be out for several months.

Haidara joined RB Leipzig from AS Monaco in January 2019 and made an immediate impact with his performances in the Bundesliga. He scored six goals and provided three assists in just eight games before being sidelined by injury.

The club's medical staff have been working closely with Haidara's family to ensure that he receives the best possible care while he recovers. They will also work closely with the player himself to determine the appropriate treatment plan for his recovery.
